Action shots are go

Bunniesonthego_1

Ok then! It's reassuring to hear that I'm not alone in liking to have a peek at other people's work in progress. So... shall we say Fridays then? Weekly, in any case, post a photo and/or a few words on your blog about something you're working on, a pile of craft materials, or even a few pieces of fabric stacked together that are calling out to be made into something great (all that possibility!). Even if you know that it may not happen - because who ever gets the time to see all - or even half - of their ideas come to fruition? Sometimes it's the action shots that are the most revealing and have the potential to inform others most about the process of making something. I couldn't begin to tell you the number of things I've learned through other bloggers this way.

Anyhow, for the last couple of days I've been trying to make a dent in this pile of bunny pieces. This is where I'm at thanks to a day with my Mum's sewing machine (mine is still out of action), Audrey taking a rare sleep today, and a couple of nights on the couch hand-stitching on heads and stuffing bodies (the 2 hour Amazing Race finale last night certainly helped. Very pleased the 'hippies' won). They are almost ready for dressing. And faces. I've never made this many toys en masse before, and it's been a bit overwhelming, in an 'I've got that many to go??' kind of way. But it's fun to see so many coming to life at the same time. Really looking forward to seeing what other people are in the midst of, too!

I'll join you on this one for sure .. my desk (or rather, my living room floor) is usually a mess of cut fabric piles. I'm going to be working on softies all of next week as well, so it's going to be fun to be able to share this wip :-)

That photo reminds me of the rockettes. Too cute.

What a great idea and super easy idea~ For me anyways, because I have a lot of half finished, works in progress.

Wow! This process of yours interests me to know end! Stuffies seem like a vast desert where each grain of sand is required knowledge before you even try to make one of your own! I would have thought that you made the faces before sewing the pieces together. very interesting! Well I will certainly try to join you. Although seeing your WIP's make mine look more like drips!

it's like a cute bunny chorus line! excellent idea for friday WIPs.

This is a great idea Fiona. Count me in, considering that I'm searching for blog material at the moment, this might be just the thing. I'm in awe that you've made so many of these.

Love the bunny assembly line! I couldn't get my act together this week, but I'll join you next Friday.

Now that is something that would be very, very easy for me to do. In fact, I have just spent the past two hours cutting and I have some lovely piles. Seeing as you mentioned the Amazing Race, can I just say, "T-Tow". And my favourite "Damn you, Frat Boys!"

This is really a good idea! I'll try to do it, and I'll most certainly be perusing blogs now to see the 'works in action' on Fridays now :D
The bunny factory looks amazing too, btw.

The cutest assembly line!

GREAT IDEA!! Hmmmm...I'm stuck on this one project right now - perhaps people can tell from my picture what I'm doing wrong!! Well, I'm off to replace my digital camera sooooooo pics of my Friday To Do List coming soon!

I'ts like they're all singing that song "One" from A Chorus Line! You know, "one singular sensation every little step she takes" high kick or fan kick or something and arms out just like that! Or maybe my imagination is overactive....

it's amazing to me how tv helps me get craft work done too. love this photo.

what a delightful idea - i'm in and just posted today's WIPs which happen to have turned out to be FOs - woo hoo!

Oh I'm so thankful that you brought this up! I was the only person I knew that like to see all my piles and current projects laid out in my working area and this drives my husband absolutely crazy. I'm sure we'll have a fun conversation tonight about this :)

looking forward to wip friday (although now that it's saturday will probably be next week for me, plenty of photo fodder around here!)we were pleased "the hippies" won too :)

Yes damn those frat boys, what sad and sorry losers they were and god bless the hippies! Were they the only two who didnt land in a country saying 'Does anybody speak english?'

In for the Friday WIP's also which has just shown me how fast you work!! from piles to people in the crack of a whip!

Hi I found you through Angela at Colorfool and I think your work is really lovely - Great idea WIP!

there must be something in the air about finishing projects. I entitled mine 'unfinished business' but have yet to post the ahem ....'finished business'. maybe if i do a regular friday posting i might get some more things finished. great idea.

WIP Fridays sound like a go, and what a grand idea it is! I will try, try, try to oblige. Time is somewhat sparse, but I live in piles...yep, all about the piles 'o life about here. Thanks for the inspiration (as ALWAYS!).

This is such a cool idea! I always have a WIP!

Great idea! I can't wait to see what folks are making!!!
