out of the coccoon
I don't want to get prematurely excited, but I think some of that magical second trimester energy has started to kick in. And with it, my sewing mojo. Hallelujah for that! I was starting to wonder if it would ever return. For the past few days this week, I even stayed awake past 8.30pm. Which doesn't sound like much. But given my record over the past few months, it's quite a feat. Finding this new spark of energy feels like coming out of a coccoon (I imagine). There's much to do, and only so much time to do it! There's much I'd like to blog about, too - new books, the finished kitchen renovation, plans for the wee bairn (I'm already in nesting overdrive - if only in my mind), Audrey's fourth birthday plans, a meme I've been tagged for (I haven't forgotten!). And the email... sorry, I'm still wading through that.
Yesterday, I sat down and sewed up 5 new toys - now awaiting stuffing, faces and clothing - intended for a shop update sometime during the next fortnight. The little girl above, Bonnie, won't be among them, but there are a few dolls in there and a couple of bunnies. If you're interested, swing me an email & I'll add you to my mailing list. Cheers!

I love second trimester - food never tasted so good, sleep never felt so sublime. Everything feels great for those 3-4 months. Enjoy your burst of crafting energy.

Congratulations on getting through the first trimester. I loved the second trimester too. I just wanted to say that I've only just found your blog and I love it and not just because you are a fellow Adelaidian!
Loved seeing you in The Crafter's Companion too. Goodluck for the future - hope the last trimester and everything thereafter is good too!

I'm glad you're getting your mojo back! I know with this last pregnancy I didn't do much of anything for the last trimester, or the first..that's what sucks! But I'm looking forward to seeing your new goodies!

Oh I'm so hoping that the 2nd Tri energy kicks in for me too - I didn't get it at all with Bella but I'm desperate for it this time. This tiredness is kicking my ass.
Bonnie is of course beautiful.

Hooray, good to see your creative mojo has got you sewing again. It's such a welcomed relief when this happens. Bonnie is gorgeous, by the way.

I love your dolls, and I bought the Softies book so I will attempt to make an Albert monkey. He is so cute. Our pink bunny that we bought from you is still going strong and is so lovely too.

Your dolls are darling! Way to make the most of the second trimester energy burst ;o) I experienced the same surge and what a relief after feeling dog-tired for the first trimester.

Please include me on your email - I would love one of your toys for my baby (still 10 weeks to go if my high blood pressure stays under control) so not too much pressure. Thanks
