wednesday

Working from home. Carrying my wip basket around with me to steal some time handsewing in the sun.

Walking past the fridge, smiling every time at Audrey's artwork (that's me with the baby in my belly!)

Thinking about the weekend (including dinner with friends and the Royal Adelaide Show - we have one very excited little girl on our hands). On Saturday at 4pm, Carly will be hosting a wee party at Nest Studio (18 Elizabeth Street, Croydon, SA) to help launch Softies, the book recently released by Penguin Australia. Among many of the beautiful toy patterns by amazing designers like Kristina, Sarah, Myra, Carly, Abby and Sooz is one for my monkey, Albert. Copies of the book will be available from Nest on the day, but can also be purchased from all good local bookshops or online here. Come and say hello if you are in the area!

oh I see you have got an etsy shop. I shall be keeping my eyes peeled!!
Sounds like the pregnancy is going well too. Yay!

Your little girl's picture is lovely! Congratulations on having your monkey included in the book.

I so very much want to buy this, but for some silly reason all of the online sellers only offer FedEx Express to ship it to the States, and that costs another $26!! Perhaps you or other Aussies could resell a few copies (w/ a small mark-up for your time/effort and reasonable shipping) through your Etsy shop...

Oh congratulations on the book! I must get this one, it features so many of my favourite bloggers.
Love Audrey's pic. Priceless and just perfect.

Oh, I wish I could get my hands on this book as well! I noticed the same thing that Kim did regarding shipping to the US. I do love what Kim had suggested. Could you please let me know if you would be... or if you know anyone who would... resell some copies? Thanks so much & congrats!

Strangely enough for an avid blog reader like myself, this is the first time I have read your blog! I just made a bag using your patter in the Crafter's Companion, and I would like to thank you for such a wonderful easy-to-use pattern. I love how it turned out and now I can't wait to get to the library!
Congratulations on your book AND your pregnancy!
Cheers
Michelle

Hi,
I love the pic your little one drew of you and the new baby! I've framed the very 1st recognizable drawing made by each of my 4 children when they were small. It's our own little gallery of prims! (And now 2 of my "babies" are in college.) Time really does fly. Enjoy these days~Cathy
P.S. Love the little monkeys too.

Hi stitchers,
I just ordered the book from www.booktopia.com.au
the total cost including shipping to Canada was just under $47 (Aussie Dollars.)
It's the best deal I could find!
Hope it helps!
