election day
I don't really know how to write this post. I love elections and the electoral process. It'd be very fair to say that I'm passionate about politics, even though I never write about it here. But this doesn't seem the place for me to carry on about my preferences and hopes for today. Let's just say I'm hoping for change.
Anyway, so Matt and I are a couple of big election nerds and come this evening we'll be hunkering down with Antony Green, (a big glass of wine and the jelly beans will be sorely missed this year!) crossing our fingers and waiting for a result.
Have a great Saturday, everyone.

Us too! We're cooking burgers and have a bottle of champagne in the fridge just in case we get that change... oooooo anticipation! Roll on 6pm!

I'll be at work, but we're wheeling in a big telly just for the occasion, and if the party we like wins, we're putting on free beers!
If the party we don't like wins, I think I may cry. Or move to Canada. Perhaps both!

I'm excited too! I was wanting to blog about who I voted for too but decided against it :P Can't wait to hear the outcome.

I'm with you - surely it won't be the same disappointment of a few years ago....

Hooray for change! I was actually driving back from Surfer's to the Sunny Coast today with a stop over at Forest Lakes - so missed all the excitement of the count and final verdict. Still exciting to get home and see that the change we wanted has happened. Unfortunately, Slipper (liberal) won our electorate :( I'm sorry to anybody who may take offence to this, but I don't like Slipper and he reminds me of a paedophile. :/
I hope the party you wanted won for you in your electorate.

Without going into details as some have done...I just thought I'd represent the other side of the debate...

I think most of us are relieved with the result and even though I can't vote (I'm not a citizen)..I've done my bit in being on a YRAW campaign team :)
