corps or tower

Giraffes1233

Giraffes1232

Three more giraffes. I'd been referring to them as a flock, but a quick nose around the internet tells me that the correct collective noun is either a corps or tower of giraffes. Who'd've thought it? Anyway, Lucille, Albert and Mimi, (plus Nigel) all found new homes this morning - thanks to everyone who placed an order.

With about a week and a half until my due date, these will be the last I'll be making to sell for a little while. If time allows, I'm all excited about finally writing up my cat pattern, or getting a start on Audrey's quilt, or even starting a quilt for the baby. All no doubt fairly delusional on my part (especially given my pace at the moment), but Audrey did arrive 10 days past due. So, time will tell.

Those giraffes are gorgeous!! I hope you don't mind me saying that they look alot like kangaroos, all you need to add is a tail and hey presto!!!
Good luck with the pre-baby crafting. Can't wait to see what you come up with...

these are sooooo cute!! very inspired! If my sons saw these they would have me make some!!

Love love love those giraffes! We pregnant women always aspire to get so much done before birth, and sometimes there is just not enough energy left! Look after yourself.

They're all so beautiful Fiona. I don't know how you parted with Nigel (or any of your beautiful creations!) but it's lovely of you to share them with others! Hope the next week and a half (or 10 days past that!) is relaxing and happy for you :) Rebecca

My boy was 10days late also !

I'm carrying this one *exactly* the same, very high. I have a feeling this will be another latecomer ( but then they make the most placid babies, so this is good :)

Well I hope this child is more thoughtful and considerate than your daughter. I think every day over feels like a week!

Your work is so beautiful. How do you manage to stuff your toys so evenly..? they look totally professional. Good luck with the imminent arrival of your little one!

I got later and later with my girls 5,10 then 15 days late. Then Josie suprised me at the end and was only 2 days late. She's never stopped suprising me in fact!
I love the giraffes just wish I could justify buying one!

They all have such sweet expressions! Wonderful design and fabric choices too. Take care of yourself and enjoy these last days of pregnancy.

Good luck with your birth!

best wishes to you!

Fabulous giraffes as always, they wear such lovely outfits. I was 18 days late with my daughter (too cosy in there!) - can't wait to hear how it all goes. Good luck!

I love the tower of giraffes! Good luck with the baby making!!

Best wishes for a healthy and safe delivery
I'm all for the cat pattern but in your time. I can wait.
I won't be getting to it for a while either as I'm 4 weeks until due day.

I am so in love with these. I've been eyeing them forever.

Good luck with everything!

Dang! Missed out on them again. Best wishes for the baby and all. Another lovely creation I am sure!

Those are so adorable!!

what darling little guys! great work!!!!

I adore the giraffes. You've been tagged, you get to list 5 random things about yourself on your blog and then nominate 5 more people. Hugs

I am besotted by your creations! Like so many other adoring fans, I've missed out on your last batch, and can only hope you continue to sew and create when baby and yourself are happy and VERY well rested! All the best and blessings.

Those giraffes are adorable! I am really inspired by your softie creations. Best wishes for the birth.
