Nigel
Since I first started making giraffes, a few people have suggested that they look quite similar to kangaroos. So the other day I bit the bullet. With a few alterations to my giraffe pattern (shorter neck, the addition of a pouch and tail), a kangaroo called Nigel is born. Nigel will go in my next shop update, but I'm not sure how many cousins of Nigel I will make - a ton of handsewing went into this dude.
Please, no one tell me he looks like a giraffe! ;)

He is so cool, and nothing like a giraffe! ;)
I love the green and grey combo.

He is wonderful. I agree that the color combo is to die for. Might I ask what type of fabric is the mainstay of the body?

He most definately is one handsome Kangaroo!

Thankyou! Susan - the brown/grey fabric of the body is a lightweight wool flannel.

Love it! The pouch makes it immediately a kangaroo in my eyes, never to be mistaken for a giraffe. Just gorgeous.

Ah, I thought the giraffes were my favorite, but Nigel has moved into that spot!

Definitely a kangaroo, but with the pouch maybe it's a Nigella rather than a Nigel? :-)

cute! I was so trying to figure out why he DIDN'T look like a giraffe and realized that he had a pouch. So cool.

He is gorgeous, and looks every bit a Kangaroo. I am very pleased today, I finished making myself a pair of bikinis for Australia Day. I got my sewing machine for Christmas, and I decided I'd finally tackle a pair of bikinis. Yay me!
