making my day

Henryday19

Thanks again for all your kind words about Henry! Here's another photo of him, because I can't help myself. So far we're all doing ok, which kind of amazes me given how I fell apart at the seams first time around. The days are a blur of feeding, settling and cuddles. Breastfeeding has been a trial (again). He has the sweetest wee smile that melts my heart, and his sister is loving him to bits (sometimes almost literally). We have even managed to leave the house most days. Of course, Matt has had the past two weeks off work. He goes back tomorrow and so begins a whole new ball game whereby I'm outnumbered two kids to one adult. Gulp.

Over the past few weeks a few kind bloggers very generously bestowed me with a 'make my day' award. Thankyou! I'm supposed to list 10 bloggers who make my day, and then comment on each of those sites so they can play too. However, I'm on borrowed internet time right now, so please excuse me whilst I cash in one of my newborn baby cards and neglect the commenting bit. I could have made this list many times over (you should see my Bloglines!), but some of my favourite places to visit include:

1. Aunty Cookie
2. One Girl
3. Loobylu
4. Treefall
5. Red Felt Flower
6. sfgirlbybay
7. Udder
8. Brown Paper & String's flickr stream
9. Good Gracie
10. Sugar City Journal

You're all ace. Thanks for your words and daily inspiration.

So lovely to hear that things are going well. My number two was so much easier than my number one!

He is darling and looks to be all boy.

Hi! New to your site - but it's wonderful! What a beautiful boy you have! Many congratulations - he's gorgeous.
How do you find time to make all your wonderful things? I have 3 young boys and find it tricky - trying to get myself going again as number 3 is nearly 2 now.

Good luck with the night feeds. Heal well. XX

Henry is sooooo sweet!!! i too have a little henry and he is almost 3! Yours looks like a little man already- so alert! CONGRATS!!!!

Henry is so adorable. He looks like he is raring to go and can hardly wait to go outside and play. Have fun with him--they grow so fast.

i always dread situations before they arrive, absolutely adamant that i wont be able to cope and then when your in the thick of it, you realise you can do - especially because you have to. the second is way easier - you know they can survive most things so it's not so scary. relax and enjoy and enjoy the rather beautiful weather we are having.
henry looks like and absolute treasure.

hey, thanks, Fiona!

And good luck flying solo today. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but there are definitely awkward moments!

henry is so cute, and his name really suits him, he looks like a young man already!

Afer seeing the photo of Henry, I just had to create an account so I could tell you how gorgeous he looks. So sorry the pox is getting in the way of a cuddle! My niece was born early Friday morning and we can't go near her...bad timing indeed x

Am I really number one or is that just alphabetical??
Either way, thanks!

God I dreaded Steven going back to work, I was more worried about that than birthing the damn babies. But ofcourse, everything works out fine. It always does, well except from 4pm - 6.30pm.

& Mr Henry is looking all ' ooh hallloo, are you my family? '. Well to me he is!

Oh! I know you are so in love. Henry is just perfect! Enjoy his new baby smell - ahh...so sweet. Best wishes.

Hey Fiona, Thanks so much, the feelings mutual!
Henry is just too cute, i can see why Audrey is loving him to bits. Hope your first day with the 2 little ones was not too full on like expected! x

You'll be fine - it's only the thought that's scary. You're already such a good Mum.

Henry has so much character in his face already, a proper little man.

Have a happy day and come back and tell us how you got on - when you can.

oh, what a doll!

you just made my day! and wee henry is gorgeous, i'm so happy everything is going so well. you sound so calm, it gives me hope that i won't be a mess when my little one comes around (although it's my first so i'm entitled, right?).

TOO SWEET!

I found breastfeeding a trial the first and second times (only done it twice anyway!), though it got better quicker the second time around. And it helped that I pretty much knew what to do with every single problem we had because I had dealt with the same the first time! But I encourage you to hang in there, because (hopefully) you'll be feeding with ease in no time. And it is worth it if you can persevere. And I'm not from the breastfeeding mafia, just an ordinary mum!

Congrats on sweet Henry...keep up with the photos, he'll only be this little for so long!

Seeing such cute pictures of Henry is making my day - adorable!

Hi Fiona

Mick is going back to work on Thursday so I know how you feel. I'm a bit nervous myself. I also nominated you for a You Make My Day last week but, neglected to comment here until now to tell you.
Hopefully the nursing will get better for you soon. Scarlet picked it up right away but Matty had a lot of troubles with it for the first few months.

oh sweet friend, thank-you what a lovely surprise, i reckon you're ace too, and your boy is darling, glad to hear that things are going well xxx

Your baby is cute, cute, cute! So expressive.

So delightful - it makes me all misty eyed! I find it hard to remember my 2 year old as a tiny baby.

I cried hyterically when my husband returned to work (6 mintues from home) - I am sure you are coping better than I did with one! I have been lurking around you blog so thought I had better come out of the shadows!
