I've been working on ideas for a new doll for a while now. I wanted to revisit the long limbs of the monkeys and rabbits I used to make, exchange the felt hair with yarn, and also work in some of those button joints I just can't seem to get enough of. This lanky girl is getting close, although I think her face needs a bit of work. She's reminding me of a wooden spoon! But maybe that's ok. Audrey has named her Cormina and has spent a good part of the afternoon thinking of all of the accessories I should make for her new doll (she even made a list - and it's very sweet, but boy does she vastly overestimate my sewing ability - I mean, sew a bike?!)
On the subject of toys, I'm working on dusting off the old etsy shop and getting a few things in there over the next week or so. Frustratingly, the vast majority of my mailing list addresses were lost when our computer was stolen (arrghh!) So I'm starting again. There's a new little box thing over at the top of the right hand column of this blog. If you were on my old list and you'd still like to receive updates, or if you've never been on my email list and are interested, just pop your email in the box, and click on the confirmation link when it arrives in your inbox. Sorry about any inconvenience this causes if you've already thought you'd joined. And thankyou!
