Hello! Eleven days in, and at last I am feeling some new year enthusiasm. I've found it hard to kick the post christmas sloth this year. Couple that with school holidays and hot weather, there have been plenty of trips to the beach and pool, catching up with friends, and not a whole lot else. Good stuff.
Over the last few weeks I have been obsessively trying to clock up driving hours, and - very exciting - on the weekend, passed my driving test. I know this is something usually done at age 17 rather than 37, but a combination of slackness and fear have prohibited me from being a driver until now. I don't know what it's going to be like when I take the kids out for our first (short, and no doubt VERY local) trip tomorrow, but I do know that I feel like a whole new world has opened up to me. To us. So yay for that.
What else? I have lots of plans for my little business this year - markets, new patterns and other bits & pieces. Also, more actual blogging rather than just thinking about blogging. And Henry turns two in a few weeks, so there are plans to be made and a cake to be baked. I've printed out one of these (a grown up star chart - brilliant!) and am sticking it on the fridge to help me with a few goals this year.
Happy New Year!
