You'd be forgiven reading back over my posts - or lack thereof - for the past few months, that it's been all gloom, all the time for us. But not so. Today I have some happy news to share - I'm writing a book! A craft book, full of toys, their sewing patterns, and more. It will be published by Penguin (insert tremble of excitement from this nerdy book lover), and, well, I'm not sure there's much more I'm able to say about it yet. I'm currently living on a schedule of write, sew, eat, tend to children, write, draw, countdown how many days to deadline, refer to my big blue notebook, sew, test, write, sleep. My first deadline is toward the end of this month, and after that I sew up all the projects ready to be photographed.
I am over the moon to have this opportunity. To be honest, I still really can't quite believe it, which is probably one of the reasons it has taken me this long to spill the beans about it. But now - yippee! - beans are well and truly spilt. I can't wait to show you what's inside.
