So it seems that having the ability to drive now means squishing about 50% more into every day. It is the beginning of the year, though, always a busy time with new routines and teachers and the like. With Audrey settled back into school and Henry starting one morning a week at child care, I have signed up for a market, Bowerbird Bazaar, at the end of March. The piles above are the beginnings of the sewing frenzy that I am working up to. Thankfully, I'm sharing a spot with Fiona from fede (yup, two Fiona's, both from Adelaide, both making soft toys!) I'm thrilled to be taking part, but slightly nervous about getting enough stuff together to fill my corner of that table...
Also! Henry turned two. We had a party for him on the weekend and he coasted through the whole evening with a smile on his face. Sweet, sweet boy. (The boat cake is taken from one of the Donna Hay Kids mags, the 2008 edition. It was very straightforward to make with no fancy cutting or icing-trickery required - my kind of birthday cake. Also, those burning candles are further away from the paper sail than that photo makes it seem!)
