This new book arrived on my doorstep last week. Simple Softies is the third in the Softies series published by Penguin Australia. It's got the same clear instructions and lovely photography as the previous two, but what sets this one apart is that it's aimed at beginner sewers and kids from the age of 5. All of the projects are designed to be hand sewn (although you can use a machine if that is your thing, there are no softie police!) Three of my projects are in here - including the wee raindrop above and the dinosaur on the cover. The book can be found in local bookshops now (also here). I'm not sure about publication dates for outside Australia yet, but will keep you posted if anyone is interested.
