I know it doesn't seem like it but there has been making here lately, just not the bloggy documenting of it. Some of that making has included starting yet another quilt. (I know no one is counting, but I've been doing a lot of quilt-starting lately, and very little finishing. It'll happen...)
The photo up top is of the corner I've sewn together so far. Unfortunately it's taken from the wrong angle, but can you see the hearts (it may involve head tilting)? It's supposed to be a quilt of heart shapes. Just an excuse to use some scraps and the pretty coral coloured organic solid fabric (by Birch). I couldn't click 'buy' fast enough when I saw this colour. It's still not easy to find a decent range of organic quilting solids - do you hear me, multinational fabric companies?? More colours, please!
These are the bits on the floor (& up the right way) waiting to be pieced. It's a good thing I have a patient family. They've been tippy-toeing around this mess to get to the computer for over a week now with no complaints. Bless 'em.
Whilst there hasn't been a whole lot of documenting here of late, I recently jumped on the Instagram bandwagon and am loving it for its quick, easy chattiness. I'm fionadalton over there, please come & say hello!
